A key objective of the International Child Friendly Cities Secretariat is to support and build the capacity of cities in their commitment to developing a rights-based agenda for children. To meet this objective the CFC Secretariat promotes and fosters networking of municipalities, communities, experts, child/youth groups and other partners interested in sharing experiences and information on innovative policies and programmes aimed at making cities child-friendly.
The CFC Secretariat strives to act as a reference point for the growing number of CFC experiences and is committed to strengthening networking processes, institutionalizing innovations, developing local networks and fora, and fostering collaboration on action for child friendly cities.
