The CFC Secretariat has selected a set of sources of information on CFC-related issues published on-line by national and international organizations, institutions, and networks. This list provides a tool for CFC builders to equip them with updated information worldwide. Suggestions for additional sources are welcome.

INTERNATIONAL

CRIN Newsletter
CRIN Newsletter is published three times a year in English, French and Spanish by the Child Rights Information Network (CRIN). CRIN is a global network that disseminates information about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and child rights amongst non-governmental organisations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, inter-governmental organisation (IGOs), educational institutions, and other child rights experts. The Coordinating Unit is based in London, UK.

HECANET
Healthy Environments for Children Alliance (HECA)
is a world-wide alliance to reduce environmental risks to children’s health that arise from the settings where they live, learn, play, and sometimes work, by providing knowledge, increasing political will, mobilizing resources, and catalysing intense and urgent action. HECANET is an international mailing list dedicated to promoting healthy environments for children.

Every month this section of the Save the Children website provides news of publications that draw on work carried out in its global programme as well as information on the latest research, policy developments on a variety of child rights issues. See also Save the Children News

Voices of Youth bimonthly newsletter
Every second month, UNICEF's interactive website for young people, distributes a newsletter to bring attention to the thoughts, reflections and suggestions for action on a particular issue for priority development as put forth by young people on Voices of Youth's discussion boards.

INTA Newsletter
INTA is an international network that encourages the exchange of information, experience and best practices on urban development and renewal across the world. INTA Newsletter: regular issues throughout the year of the Newsletter readers abreast of current urban development issues around the world. Distributed to over 2,500 people around the world the Newsletter also focus on members' activities and highlights current and future INTA activities.

Learning Channel LearningChannel.org is a OneWorld themed portal, which brings together organisations and audiences involved in the challenges around education today.

FOCUS Newsletter
Focus is the newsletter of the Forum on Developing Countries. It provides information about conferences and events all around the world, links to new internet resources, short announcements. It is distributed free of charge every two months to the subscribers by e-mail and it is published on line.

UN-HABITAT in action
It is a monthly electronic newsletter that strives to bring UN-HABITAT closer to you through reports on current programmes activities, field operations, latest publications and reports and missions undertaken by various staff members. UN-HABITAT in action is another effort to inform partners and various stakeholders about the operations and activities of UN-HABITAT.

PovertyNet Newsletter
PovertyNet is a World Bank web resource for researchers, policy makers, and NGOs and others around the world who are working to understand and alleviate poverty. The topics that the PovertyNet newsletter will cover include: poverty monitoring and evaluation, the impact of growth and inequality on poverty, the role of human capital development in the fight against poverty, safety nets, social capital, the impact of the East Asian crisis on poverty the World Bank's World Development Report (WDR) on poverty and development. The newsletter will eventually expand to include news, experiences and lessons learned from organizations around the world working against poverty.

Urbanicity Events E-Bulletin.An international source for information on conferences, symposia, exhibitions and workshops on urban issues.

Global Learning Network's Public Private Partnership Newsletter (PPP News).
PPP News is produced by the UNDP Public Private Partnerships for the Urban Environment program (PPPUE) in partnership with Yale University's School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.

CEMR (Council of European Municipalities and Regions) The Council of European Municipalities was founded in Geneva in 1951 by a group of European mayors; later, it opened its ranks to the regions and became the Council of European Municipalities and Regions. Today, it is the largest organisation of local and regional government in Europe.


Capital Child Newsletter

Capital Child is the regular e-bulletin from the Children and Young People's Unit (CYPU) in the Mayor's Office of the Greater London Authority. The Bulletin aims to provide an easily accessible update on work to implement the Mayor's Children and Young People's Strategy (launched in January 2004), plus an overview of key policy developments and new initiatives, and work with our partner agencies.
